Welcome to the CARA website. CARA was established in 1975 with the aim of preserving the distinctive character of this Edwardian garden suburb, and to foster a feeling of community spirit. As well as campaigning on matters of local interest, CARA runs four social events a year. Membership is a reasonable £10 per household.
We also have a discount scheme with local businesses, of usually 10% (see the list below). You will need to present a current CARA membership card to get the discount, which is only applicable at the local branches. We ask the businesses to not give a discount without a valid card being shown.
